Sat, Aug 14, 20:30-20:50 Asia/Tokyo Day 3

In this short presentation, I will approach graded readers from the perspective of Translation Studies, where they constitute a marginal phenomenon. I will discuss their research potential within the areas of intralingual and literary translation, and I will seek to start a discussion.

A study of the norms and laws in the intralingual translation of the novel And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Feel free to read this article to get a general idea of the situation of graded readers within the discipline of Translation Studies and the research that I conducted on them as part of my Master's Thesis at Heriot-Watt University back in 2017 (only published in 2020).
